Why should I use vitamin supplements?

What is Diatomaceous Earth?
Diatomaceous Earth, also called “DE”, is made of microscopic silica shell remains called diatoms. These tiny particles actually cut up the parasites when they come into contact with them, thus killing them. The dog's digestive tract then passes them out. We use natural food grade DE (not the swimming pool grade). The difference is that pool DE is chemically treated and partially melted and contains crystalline silica which can cause respiratory irritation. Natural DE is mined, ground, sifted and bagged and contains non-crystalline silica, which is not considered a hazard according to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. EPA allows it’s use in food storage and processing areas. DE has many uses from insect control to animal de-worming. It is not the fastest acting insect control but it does work and is non-toxic.

Why should I feed my dog raw food?
Raw food is the closest to a natural diet we can have. Dogs have been eating raw food throughout time. As a matter of fact, I have never seen a dog building a fire and cooking anything to eat. Have you? Raw foods have unaltered nutrients and enzymes which make nutrients more available for absorption into the system, therefore the body receives the vitamins and minerals it needs for optimum wellness. Dogs were not meant to eat crackers, or kibble as we have been taught to call it, at mealtime. Dogs have more diseases than ever in history. 46% of canines are dying of Cancer. 50 years ago, Cancer was unheard of in dogs. Going back to natural, more wholesome foods will, over time, change the state of health in our canine friends.

How can I prevent my dog from getting sick?
We can stay healthy by keeping the body clean both inside and out. This probably sounds like at oversimplification however it is vital that we keep ourselves free of toxins. Detoxicification should start with parents, in the case of humans, and breeders in the case of canines, prior to pregnancy. Many illnesses could be avoided if parents of both humans and canines prepared for pregnancy by doing a thorough dextox program before pregancy. Of course we shouldn't stop to "cry over spilled milk" as this is not the case with most.
What we can do is detox our bodies and avoid further exposure to toxins by exercising, eating nutritious foods, minimal use of drugs and household chemicals, and taking supplements that will detox the body and help keep the body processing out the toxins it is exposed to.

Why should I not feed my dog kibble?
Kibble is a man-made convienience food. Many of the main dog food companies are owned by the pharmacutical companies, the same people that profit from sick dogs. Many of the dog food companies purchase ingredients from the company with the lowest bid for ingredients to keep profits up as far as possible. This was demonstrated in 2007 with the foods that killed 8000 of our beloved pets.

What if my dog needs an antibiotic?
In the event a dog needs an antibiotic, one should know that: it is important the antibiotic prescribed is the correct antibiotic for the illness. The antibiotic needs to be given for a long enough period of time to fully elliminate the infection. Stopping an antibiotic too early gives the remaining bacteria time to mutate and build resistance. So if the dog gets sick again and has a second round of antibiotics, the bacteria is more resistant and harder to kill. Be sure to take extra probiotics during and after taking an antibiotic. This helps keep the good bacteria present in the system and helps keep the blood clean.

Are vaccines good for my dog?
